Coffee cup universe

For National Poetry month:

Coffee cup universe by Teresa Tan

I drank the cosmos today.
how easy to sprinkle
sugar like stars
into the warm brown sky
and stir, nights
in Bogota must be like this.
flashing stainles
became a teaspoon satellite.
swirling cream
a galaxy in its own right.

how simple to touch
my lips to your rim
running around on 2 pi r.
swallow it hot.
open to the heat
and bitters rinsing
a dark and hollow stomach.
nothing more to do. waiting
for chemistry
and the changes
